ATRIAL SIGNALS 2017
Research and development has brought many significant advances to electrophysiological examinations of the atria in recent years. Electroanatomical mapping systems reduce radiation, multichannel catheters allow for simultaneous high density mapping, and computer modeling enhances comprehension of signal generation and the mechanisms of arrhythmias. However, despite all these efforts, atrial fibrillation still poses a major problem for clinicians.
Joint collaboration between experts – clinicians and engineers – provides the best chance to cope with this challenge. This is the goal of our workshop – to bring together the leading experts from these areas, and to provide a scenario for open discussion.
CALL FOR POSTERS
Attendees to Atrial Signals 2017 are encouraged to participate in a poster session to show their latest results on atrial fibrillation research. This will bring the opportunity to discuss their work with the leading experts in the field. A brief poster presentation will be offered to all participants.
Attendees willing to participate in this poster session are kindly asked to submit an abstract with a maximum of 400 words for review. A figure and/or a table may be also included. The template for the abstract is available here. Abstracts in PDF file should be uploaded before 22nd September.
All participants will be invited to send a full paper with an extended version of their work to a Special Issue in Biomedizinische Technik journal. All submissions will undergo a peer-review process prior to acceptance, according to the journal policies.
